September Round-up

September has felt like it has passed in a manic blur, and yet I have achieved very little. I have to keep reminding myself we have a newborn baby and so everyday we all stay alive is enough achievement for me for now!

Some highlights of September have included:

// Taking Alys’ first bus ride (she loved it).

// Ivy starting back at school. We were all ready for it by the end of the holidays but it only took a week for her to be hit by the tonsillitis bug that was doing the rounds.

// We have taken our days pretty slowly and mostly stayed at home, especially as I have still been recovering from a C-section.

// We had a day trip to Wiltshire to visit family.

// It was officially announced that Josh has a new job and we got the keys to our new house! It’s still eight weeks until we move but we have lots of plan in the meantime.

// On Gwennan’s one month birthday we went on our first countryside walk as a family of five.

// We’ve had plenty of broken nights, mostly fuelled by chocolate.

// Ivy turned five! We celebrated by going bowling and eating ice-cream.

// Gwennan started smiling and is much more alert.

September was a month of adapting to change in our little family, but all is going pretty well! It already feels like Gwennan has been with us forever and I’m pretty much back to normal after the C-section. I’m looking forward to more Autumn adventures next month!
