This month has been dominated by ill health as Ivy has kindly bringing back lots of germs from school. We’ve all had a sickness bug and I had a throat infection too so I’m finishing the month feeling pretty run down and tired as it’s pretty hard to catch up with three little people who don’t allow for sick-days! In between illness we’ve been pretty busy. Here are some October highlights:
// Gwennan was dedicated at our church at the start of the month. We had some family to visit and it was a nice day.
// We’ve been over to the new house several times to clean and sort things. The house hasn’t been cared for by the previous tenant so there has been lots of grime to scrub away, but things are coming together. We’ve had an under-the-stairs cupboard fitted and have put up some new IKEA furniture. I’m counting down the days until we can move in!
// We have been out and about more now that I am recovered from my C-Section. On one trip to the beach we forgot the baby carrier so I fashioned one out of a car blanket – it was actually pretty effective! We also visited the pumpkin patch and have generally enjoyed the autumn countryside.
// After several weeks of beavering away behind the scenes I launched this new blog! I hope you are enjoying it as much as I am.
// Gwennan had her first lot of jabs and cried so much that she made herself pass out and stop breathing. ARGH! The nurse had to run and get the doctor and it was pretty scary. Not something I want to repeat in a hurry!
// We had two really big storms and the schools were even closed due to hurricane Ophelia.
// Gwennan has slept through the night a couple of times, but there doesn’t seem to be any routine to it as some nights she’ll still be up a lot. I’m hoping it continues to improve!
// My brother and his family visited us at the end of the month. The girls loved playing with their cousins.
The next month is going to bring lots of change, excitement and busyness as we move house. We still have so much to sort but I’m excited!
